How FlyHUB handles your information.
Last updated:
FlyHUB (flyhub.io) is run by Bruno Gomes Correia, an individual based in Chile, who is responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at contact@flyhub.io.
FlyHUB is at an early stage: profiles are published by their owners from their own logbook and Google Drive, and sign-in for everyone is being built. This policy covers today’s site and the sign-in and upload features as they open. When something changes, we update this page (see “Changes”).
FlyHUB uses only the cookies it needs: one that remembers your language (flyhub_locale) and, for a signed-in profile owner, a session cookie (flyhub_owner, 30 days). Your browser also keeps a few preferences on your device, such as whether you have already seen a hint. We use no advertising or analytics cookies; if we ever add analytics, we will say so here first.
FlyHUB’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy (developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular: we use data from your Google account and Google Drive only to provide FlyHUB’s features to you; we don’t sell it, use it for advertising, or let anyone read it except with your permission, for security, or when the law requires it; and we don’t use it to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. FlyHUB never deletes files in your Google Drive.
We don’t sell personal information. We share it only with the providers that run parts of FlyHUB for us, under their own data-protection terms:
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
What a profile’s owner publishes is public and can be indexed by search engines. If you appear in someone’s logbook — as a buddy, or in a photo or video — and want it changed or removed, write to contact@flyhub.io and we will sort it out with the profile’s owner.
We keep a profile’s information while the profile exists. Display copies and analyses are deleted together with the profile or account. Server logs are kept for about 30 days. Backups may hold deleted data for a short time before they expire.
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by writing to contact@flyhub.io; we answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example Chile, the European Union or California), the law gives you these and other rights; we honor these requests for everyone. You can also complain to your data-protection authority.
Connections to FlyHUB are encrypted (HTTPS), access to our systems is restricted and secrets are kept in a managed vault. No system is perfectly secure; if something happens that affects your information, we will tell you.
FlyHUB is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top; for important changes we will also let signed-in users know.
